Thank you for the recommendation. This is the first time I'm hearing about this author, I would love to read these books.

Did Backman write A Man Called Ove, or was that someone else? I started that years ago but didn’t love it 🤷🏼‍♀️.

I’m currently reading Hot and Bothered by Jancee Dunn. It’s a non-fiction book about menopause 🔥🥵. I’m learning a lot and so wish it wasn’t all happening to me, but it is. All of it. RATS.

The kitties are super cute 😸😸

Yes he did - haven’t read that one tho. I started Beartown a LONG time ago and didn’t vibe at first but this time I persisted and loved it. I’ve heard Ove can be a tougher read than his others.

Oh, that’s good to know. Sometimes I turn away from an author too quickly if I don’t love the first thing I pick up.

Ugh, that Backman vibe! Only he could make me love a book about a hockey team and town so hard! I'm looking forward to reading Splinters. I just finished up Green Dot; sharp, funny, nuanced, I quite liked it.

You've made me want to read Bear Town! JUST started Splinters last night. I bought it based off an excerpt I read in The New Yorker that was so beautiful to read. Too early to give more thoughts but I'm anxious to get back to it tonight before bed.

Joe and I LOVE Tokyo Vice. IT IS SO GOOD!!! That cliff hanger in the last episode!! Ahhhh! Samantha!!!

Kitties are living the dream per usual 😍

Report back on Splinters, my never ending TBR would love to know if its worth a shot! Beartown was exactly what I needed in that moment for sure. And I can't believe where Tokyo Vice has taken us...
