I reviewed The Bee Sting recently on my Substack as well. It looks like you had a better time with this one than I did, and I had a pretty great time with it :)

I was a little thrown off by the change to second person narration in the final 1/4 of the book. The ending was absolutely sublime though.

I loved reading your review and how we noticed the same things but had different ideas about if it was "good" (effective, fun to read) or not!! I very rarely complain a novel is too long, I find I am more invested the more time I spend with characters but I recognize not everyone agrees. the ending WAS sublime wasn't it!!

I had to clean out my garage to put more books out there because I am overflowing but DETERMINED to have a wall of shelves when we finally move to a bigger place so I cannot get rid of them

I loved this new style you’re playing w Natalie - slay! This review made me even more excited to read it next month. The book feels like it’s literally screaming at me on the shelf. Must exercise restraint for a couple more weeks.

"One of the best reading experiences of my life thus far." WOW!!! High praise!!! It's on my TBR because of you. It sounds like a great time. Ireland, the book /writer gift that keeps on giving.
